Here are a few tips of how to take steps to make riding taxis more safe:

• Only ride legal vehicles, ones with the registration number (you can also use the Uber app.)
• Don’t get into unmarked vehicles.
• Send someone your taxi number and about when you should arrive, and that you’ll text them when you arrive.
• If you feel like the ride might be sketchy, take a pic of the license plate so that the driver sees you do it but pretending to be discreet. You can always send it to a friend if need be.
• Try not to be out too late. The chances are always higher of something happening at night.
• I also love Uber because your location is right there and you can share it with a friend.
