Adventures at home – get outta town

If you’re an explorer, you’re an explorer. There’s nothing you can do about it.

I found me and my best friend once a week we would get away, just for a few hours drive to a rural town 30 min away, see new sights, eat at a new restaurant (restaurants were open at this time.)

And I lived for that day.

Our rule was it always had to be a new place, and we had a lot of fun.

Here’s me trying oyster for the first time (it was always on my bucket list!!) and I really liked it.

It’s crazy what just being one town 30 minutes away will do for your soul.

We always came back so refreshed.

I was reading from Jay Shetty recently and he recommended going somewhere new once a month. Even in your same city, sitting or standing in a place you have never physically been before. He says it is amazing what that does for our perspective, for clearing our thinking, for making us think differently. I think that’s great advice.

I think I need it at least once a week.
