“If I can be an example of getting sober, then I can be an example for starting over.” – Macklemore.

I love Macklemore (he’s a rapper.)

He is talking about addiction with this line, and about relapse.

It’s a little less serious, but I’m talking about money.

I need to come clean and confess. I am broke. Flat broke.

While living in New York City, I quit my job (which was quite possibly the best decision I have ever made in my life – more on that on a different day) and as you can imagine the savings start plummeting really quick.

Add on getting my masters degree, full time tuition in a dance school, and I literally transferred over the last dollars from my savings account. Wow I’m embarrassed to say that. (I mean, I have my retirement account, thankfully it isn’t easy to pull from there.)

All this to say, I have a whole section on my blog about money. About breaking through the money barrier for travel.

Well, I’m starting over.

I’m starting now.

I am starting the penny crunching now.

Having a full-time remote job definitely helped float the boat for the last two years, working from Florida and New York.
