I love Quicentro (Norte).
This area is not only one of my favorite places in Quito, or in Ecuador, but it is one of my favorites in the world. Mountains in the background, Parque Carolina the park with all the families on outings and dudes playing sports, palm trees, fancy buildings. Its the blend of city-and-park-and-mountains-and-palm-trees that just gets my heart every time.
When you’re missing a little taste of classy and a little taste of high-class America, go to Quicentro.
It’s a fancy shopping mall in an amazing part of the city.
I love shopping here because sometimes you find a few good deals (and I love buying normal stuff for souvenirs.)
They have a great food court, a bunch of high-name brands (I love just walking past the Tiffany’s store) and all-around a great ambiance.
Leaving Quicentro, feel free to take a stroll down República El Salvador (one of my favorite streets) and also check out the stadium on the left.
Madmex isn’t too far from here, Plaza de las Américas, all-around it’s my favorite place to hang out.
Few favorite stores to check out:
- Taty – Great dresses often at a discount
- Pull & Bear – I like their style
- Bershka – Also very trendy
Few favorite restaurants here:
- Vaca y Vaca – good burgers, salty food and fries
- Crepes & Waffles – sounds just like the name, one of my all-time favorites, great ice cream too!
