There is beauty right where you are at.

I’m working on growing my Instagram followers @amyaventurera because maybe one day I can just travel and write and create and if I have a billion followers maybe I can sell a book for a dollar and become a billionaire, right?

But right now, I only have a few, and so often I think of what it will be like when I’m “there.”

And that is when I am missing it.

Right now, with only a few followers, I have connected with so many travelers all over the world. The little guys have time to chat. I write and follow other travel blogs, message them and ask questions, truly connect. Who knows where that connection could go? Maybe nowhere, or maybe one day when I travel to Italy I’ll hit up that Italian blogger and have a friend.

If I was already at the billion mark, you better believe I wouldn’t be spending my time messaging and following as many travel enthusiasts as I can.

You never know where a connection could lead. I love those possibilities.

And ya know, it’s pretty cool.

This is an example, but it is true in every area of life.

When we start a job, often we can’t wait to be one of the higher-ups, the guy with the experience who knows how everything runs.

But right now, you have a fresh perspective. You have something to offer that no one else has. When others look around the room, they can’t see things in the way you see it because they’re used to it.

Appreciate where you are right now.

There is a beauty where you are.
And there is a beauty where you want to be.
But enjoy the beauty now.
